What is Spill The Chai?

Who I Am:

Hello! My name is Arushi Gondhi, and I am currently a high schooler in New Jersey. I am a South Asian passionate about storytelling, culture, and connection. Growing up, I never had someone who understood the hardships of my mix of cultures, academic pressures, and the self-discovery of who I was. Spill The Chai was created from these needs: for open discussions, stories, and advice. I created this platform to build a community where South Asian girls can be themselves without the fear of being judged.

Our Mission Statement:

To gather stories, lessons, and life-tips from South Asian women everywhere, and spill it forward.

Our Vision Statement:

A world with an older sister in every South Asian girl's corner: with hot chai, cool advice and zero judgment.

How Spill The Chai Works:

Spill The Chai is a place where brown girls can come for advice on the challenges they may face growing up. As you explore the website, you’ll find a wide range of videos from professionals offering guidance on various topics. Additionally, the “Chaatroom” is a forum where South Asian girls like myself can connect and talk to each other. Lastly, anyone can request a video topic through the “Contact” tab.
